About CHISTA

CHISTA is the Overseas Chinese Students Evangelical Association, established in Korea in 2010 with the help of KOSTA (Overseas Korean Students Evangelical Association).

Many Chinese students are flocking to overseas, God has raised up a great overseas revival overseas. However, the current ratio of evangelical ministry to overseas students is very different. In order to expand the evangelical work of Chinese students, CHISTA use Korea as a starting point to ignite the fire of evangelism for overseas Chinese students around the world.

CHISTA is a non-denominational united gathering, one body, different parts.

In 2023, CHISTA was introduced to the United States. Since then, CHISTA has gained support from many organizations and churches. Thanks to the supporters below,  in 2024, CHISTA was held from June 28th to July 1st in Lancaster Bible College, PA.

Around 270 attendees joined CHISTA 2024 in the United States.

From June 27 to June 30, 2025, CHISTA 2025 was held in Lancaster Bible College, PA again. The 2025 theme is “But if Not.” 235 attendees joined CHISTA 2025.

Considering that CHISTA has been held in the United States for three years, the CHISTA team held a review meeting in Pittsburgh from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, inviting core colleagues and supporters to review CHISTA’s original intention, mission and goals, as well as the experiences and lessons learned from the past three years of development.

As a volunteer-driven program, CHISTA’s success in the United States is a real achievement. In the coming years, CHISTA’s volunteer team will face numerous challenges, including recruitment, fundraising, and organizational transformation. However, the CHISTA team has demonstrated strong confidence and a firm commitment to its mission. We sincerely wish CHISTA continued steady growth in North America, bringing blessings to more and more young people.

Let us pray earnestly together, asking the Lord to raise up, renew, cultivate, and send Chinese international students and young professionals in North America! Through the grace of Christ, the vision given by God, and the stirring of the Holy Spirit, let them bravely go out and respond to the Lord’s call. They will be inspired and equipped in CHISTA, have a heart for gospel missions, fulfill the Lord’s great commission, and harvest His harvest!”

About Our Grants

In 2024, Dao Feng and Angela Foundation (DAF) decided to provide two grants to support CHISTA USA.

The first grant in the amount of $11,000 to support Korean CHISTA Team and CGN Chinese Team’s international travel expense. Since CHISTA USA is still at the early stage, Korean CHISTA Team plays an important role in worship and conference content planning. CGN Chinese Team helps video recording and online promotion.

The other grant is a match gift. DAF committed a 1:1 match gift up to $30,000 to encourage CHISTA USA Team’s efforts on fundraising.  As DAF’s co-funding strategic partner, Bedrock Foundation committed a 1:1 match giving up to $10,000.

Based on the final donation’s amount CHISTA USA collected, DAF provided $10,000 match-giving and Bedrock Foundation provided $1593.4.

In 2025, Dao Feng and Angela Foundation (DAF) introduced the Bedrock Foundation and Flagstone Foundation to support CHISTA USA together.

Flagstone Foundation provided $12,222 to sponsor 19 observers from 2 churches, 1 fellowship and 3 foundations to join CHISTA 2025. Observers had a review meeting after the gathering and submit a report with their opinions and suggestions to CHISTA team.

Bedrock Foundation provided $15,856 to support international travel expenses to help 17 volunteers from South Korea and other countries to come to the United States to help organize CHISTA 2025.

Dao Feng and Angela Foundation (DAF) provided in total $19,566.83 to cover the expenses of the CHISTA Review Meeting in Pittsburg, and a 1:1 match gift up to $10,000 to encourage fundraising efforts.

From 2024 to 2025, Dao Feng and Angela Foundation has donated $40,566.83 to support CHISTA USA. In the future, Dao Feng and Angela Foundation will focus on supporting CHISTA International to develop SOP to support more local CHISTA teams.
